3D Hollow Project: Merge Object

 This project is about 3D hollow shapes and, specifically this week, we are merging our shapes with our assigned partner's shapes. I had the pleasure of working with Kailey R!

Final Merge Object: Cloud Crown (naming courtesy of the wonderful Kailey)

This design, simply put, was made by straightforwardly combining one concept with another. Both Kailey and my concepts were quite difficult to put match up. We both had angles that were more than 45 degrees, and our concept sketches had several horizontal surfaces. In the end, keeping in mind the yes's and no's of 3D printing, this concept seemed the most safe and risky, as well as interesting. I'm quite looking forward to how the cloud platform will print out. It has an interesting shape and seems to have a fun texture.
