Papercraft Final: Cipher Build ver. 3.0
Process
- First, I created the templates by unfolding and adding tabs to the unfolded 2D objects. (I made duplicates of some objects just in case I break one of the templates while folding them.)
-I then organized the pieces and grouped them together by colour so it's easier to put them in their laser printing templates.
- After, I organized the pieces onto a 12" x 24" rectangle to act as a sheet of paper. (The maximum size of the Trotec Speedy 100 is 12" x 24") (File is on the ThingTank PC)
- With the help of the technician, the template was laser cut onto poster paper.
- I started folding and attaching (with rubber cement) the tabs and pieces together.
- For the small details (the eye portions and smaller tabs) I used a tweezer so it was easier for me to attach things together, and to help make the attaching neater and more precise.
Things to Note (Feedback from Technician)
-When finished with the unfolding and tabbing process:
- group score layer objects together
- group cut layer object together
-Double check for double curves, especially when copy and pasting.
Feedback
-Add more details
- Subtractive and Additive details.
- Bigger scale (makes folding and attaching easier.)
